Hello Jasper, find the updated port attached. (Again only tested @i386 since my sparc is currently OoO.) I also ported IVT (http://ivt.sourceforge.net/), which heavily depends on OpenCV. I'll separately send this to ports in a short while, but you can find it attached for testing purposes. My reworking of your port is attached, I basically want to have it configured in order to be useful for IVT (and most of my other CV code) this means to have a couple more deps. The only unsolved part, which would make this a LOT more useful is support for direct camera capturing. OpenCV does support V4L, but unfortunately it needs V4L1 compatibility. I'll try to contact the OpenCV devs and ask them to remove this deprecated API usage (there are already patches floating around the web, but I didn't bother trying to patch myself). Thanks for your work, perhaps we can get this commited (after some more love from an experienced porter)? (jasper@?) Regards ahb I sent this feedback last week but got no response from Rafael: Could you please use the following port (adjustments to Makefile layout) and change the following things? - start library versioning at 0.0 (instead at 2.2) - is the MODULES part still needed? or could you just set ONLY_FOR_ARCH=${GCC4_ARCHS} - please adjust the patch for modules/ml/src/gbt.cpp to append openbsd after ANDROID, thus making the patch usable for inclusion upstream. Btw. I only worked and tested on latest i386 snapshot. print/apvlv text selection
Hi, could anyone please try our current versio of print/apvlv and check wether text selection works? The reason I'm asking is because I'm working on an update of poppler to 0.16.5, which breaks the API for text selection, and I only get totally wrong text selections even with a proper fix to apvlv. Thanks in advance. Ciao, Kili
Re: print/apvlv text selection
Broken in -current too. In gmane.os.openbsd.ports, you wrote: Hi, could anyone please try our current versio of print/apvlv and check wether text selection works? Re: C++ compiler on 4.9 is very unstable

GCC works fine. And everytime I have to start from last stage. What can you advise? This happens on SGI O2, RM7000, 512MB of RAM. IRIX 6.5 using MIPSpro 7.4 can compile a few days without error so I think that the problem lies not in hardware. This is a bug in GCC 4.2.1, or just a particular build of 4.9? How do I fix this? Or is this the only problem I have one? Miod is absolutely right. I was hit with the same problem on a old i386 machine. The solution was to increase the limits in /etc/login.conf When I use top -s3, g++ climbs above 512Mb, sometimes as close as 1GB for some compiles. Clang++ does the same, it regularly exceeds 512Mb. http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-miscm=128864822527650w=2
update graphics/inkscape
Update to inkscape-0.48.1. Contains a fix for the poppler-0.16 API change (poppler-0.16 isn't committed yet, but inkscape should build and work with either version of poppler). This also seems to fix the ruler problem mentioned on ports@ (but not the memory display nor the poor performance of the GUI). ok?
