Firefox 9.0.1 crashing when printing
Hi ports@, as part of the test process that takes place before each release, Firefox 9.0.1 closes with no messages when trying to print to a printer connected remotely. $ firefox $ echo $? 11 $ Firefox crashing when printing is not a new problem, but didn't find anything related to 9.0.1 in archives. Some details: The printer is a HP Color Laserjet 2605, connected via lpd, using print/cups-1.5.0. No problem printing to a file, opening in a PDF editor (I used epdfview btw) and then printing to paper. I'm using Print Preview. There are reports that Firefox crash often using this feature, not just in OpenBSD, so can probably be an upstream problem. Thank you. Update: lang/ruby 1.8.7p358 and 1.9.3p125
These are both fairly simple updates. 1.8.7p358 has only a single security patch over p357 related to preventing the SSL BEAST attack: https://github.com/ruby/ruby/commit/2cb7a6c0569cf2f1da791f21f6af4ff9bfcb97ac 1.9.3p125 also has a patch to prevent the SSL BEAST attack, along with some of our local patches being accepted upstream, and numerous other bug fixes. Tested on amd64 and i386. I plan to commit next week unless I hear negative reports. www/node module and related ports
This is a module for nodejs ports that would otherwise use npm install to install. In addition to the module file itself, this also includes: * patch to network.conf.template to add master site for npm registry * switch lang/coffeescript over to use node module * patch to port-modules.5 Attached are also 4 new node ports: * bcrypt: bcrypt hashing * fibers: coroutine support to avoid nested callback hell * pg: postgresql database driver * generic-pool: required by pg Tested on amd64 and i386. new: devel/p5-IO-CaptureOutput, p5-TAP-Harness-Archive and p5-TAP-Harness-Multiple
These Perl modules are REGRESS_DEPENDS for the upcoming parrot update. IO::CaptureOutput: This module provides routines for capturing STDOUT and STDERR from perl subroutines, forked system calls (e.g. system(), fork()) and from XS or C modules. TAP::Harness::Archive: This module is a direct subclass of TAP::Harness and behaves in exactly the same way except for one detail. In addition to outputting a running progress of the tests and an ending summary it can also capture all of the raw TAP from the individual test files or streams into an archive file (.tar or .tar.gz). TAP::Harness::Multiple: This package subclasses Michael Peters' TAP::Harness::Archive package from CPAN. It provides its own runtests() method for the case where you need to create an archive of test results generated by running multiple harnesses sequentially. p5-IO-CaptureOutput.tar.gz Description: gzip compressed data, from Unix p5-TAP-Harness-Archive.tar.gz Description: gzip compressed data, from Unix p5-TAP-Harness-Multiple.tar.gz Description: gzip compressed data, from Unix

new: lang/nqp
This is Not Quite Perl -- a compiler for quickly generating PIR routines from Perl6-like code. The key feature of NQP is that it's designed to be a very small compiler (as compared with, say, perl6 or Rakudo) and is focused on being a high-level way to create compilers and libraries for virtual machines (such as the Parrot Virtual Machine). Unlike a full-fledged implementation of Perl 6, NQP strives to have as small a runtime footprint as it can, while still providing a Perl 6 object model and regular expression engine for the virtual machine. This is the new bootstrap compiler for rakudo and thus needed for the update. It also depends on the parrot update. nqp.tar.gz Description: gzip compressed data, from Unix

new: pecl-http-1.7.1
Attached is a new port for the pecl http extension. My first time packaging a pecl extension, coments welcome. Information for inst:pecl-http-1.7.1 Comment: extended http support Description: The HTTP extension aims to provide a convenient and powerful set of functionality for major applications. The HTTP extension eases handling of HTTP URLs, dates, redirects, headers and messages in a HTTP context (both incoming and outgoing). It also provides means for client negotiation of preferred language and charset, as well as a convenient way to exchange arbitrary data with caching and resuming capabilities. Also provided is a powerful request and parallel interface (PHP 5+), if the extension is built with cURL support.
