The resulting gcj can compile classpath and pdftk. Also added support for -java on powerpc. Disabled -faggressive-loop-optimizations. It breaks SPEC. The compiler is now written in C++. Re: mail/nail, and s-nail-14.2
I think a new port is fine, as long as the upgrade path works (conflict/pkgpath markers etc). William Yodlowsky will...@openbsd.org wrote: As mentioned recently on tech@ [*], mail/nail is not in good shape; I have an update that should help. I've spent a fair amount of time in folders with 9k - 26k messages in them via IMAP and it is just fine. Takes awhile to start, but the cache helps if you enable it and successive attempts are faster. I have a diff to switch mail/nail over to being the s-nail fork, but I think it may be time for this to be a new port: mail/s-nail. mail/nail changed names in the past (first 'nail', then 'heirloom mailx') and we just tweaked things to keep working the same way, as it was the same code, by the same author... but this one is a fork. So I have for your selection: - a diff that replaces heirloom for s-nail-14.2, keeping everything packaging the same as it does now or - a tarball of a new mail/s-nail port, whose import should IMO should follow mail/nail's trip to the Attic Which would be preferred? I'll take MAINTAINER back again either way. Thanks. [*] - http://marc.info/?l=openbsd-techm=136416603330480w=2

OK, fixed. I used full paths for all applications listed in default.config, except for csound and mma (because we don't have ports of them). Attached. ~Brian the @sample is not quite right there; I've changed it like this: share/applications/solfege.desktop share/examples/solfege/ -@sample share/examples/solfege/solfege +share/examples/solfege/solfege +@sample ${SYSCONFDIR}/solfege share/locale/cs/LC_MESSAGES/solfege.mo share/locale/da/LC_MESSAGES/solfege.mo however the code to try and pick this config file up doesn't work correctly, so here is a diff relative to your port. I also allowed fluidsynth as an alternative to timidity, and provided sample config lines to use with it (timidity isn't available in packages due to copyright problems with some patches so it's a bit of an annoying dependency). Still not perfect as the only soundfont file we have in packages is in mscore which is fairly huge (maybe we want to split that off into a subpackage, or add some alternative ports of sf2 files?) and also ~/.solfegerc doesn't get updated automatically when you change /etc/solfege, but I think these are steps in the right direction. A:1036.4 (17:16.3) of 1913.0 (31:53.0) 1.2% It seems some check was introduced into mplayer about a year ago http://mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-cvslog/2012-February.txt whether the audio device times out too much. I am seeing this more if I simultaneously run firefox, or xombrero with many open windows. Is anybody seeing the same? My audio device works fine beside this. Jan Does this happen with non-MP kernels? If you're using sndiod, you could try to run: sudo sndiod -dd your_options and see what happens. This is probably caused by a bug in uaudio. The new sndiod detects certain anomalies in the device driver and may display watchdog timeout or alike. -- Alexandre
