Update: phantomjs 1.9.8
Hi! Attached is a diff to update the www/phantomjs port to the latest version (1.9.8) released some days ago. This version disables SSLv3 support in phantomjs because of CVE-2014-3566 (aka the POODLE issue). Not much more changes since 1.9.7: https://github.com/ariya/phantomjs/compare/1.9.7...1.9.8 I've built the packages without problem in both latest amd64 snapshot and an i386 snapshot from the end of may. It would be nice if someone with an up-to-date i386 snapshot could give the build a try. It conflicts at least with man/man1/sendmail.1 from postfix. OK? Hmm, I just committed to mail/sendmail, so you'd need to refresh your diff. But on the other hand, I'm not sure this is the way to go. Brad, would you mind if I renamed postfix' sendmail.1 to postfix-sendmail.1? sendmail.1 isn't the problem, conflicts are only in mailq.1, newaliases.1, and aliases.5. mailq and newaliases are aliases to sendmail.1 and I think could be @commented, though I would also be happy with renaming to postfix-XX. aliases.5, rename? These are all hidden behind smtpd's manpages in base anyway, so renaming to postfix-XX would even make it easier for users to find those manpages. Given this, I'd be a lot happier with renaming than conflicting (but if you do conflict, it should be added to all 3 ports, not just sendmail). So here's a diff to rename all three manpages. ok? KDE plans update
1. KDE 4.14.2 is ready. I plan to commit all bits later today, in the Moscow evening. There will be an update to 4.14.3 in 2-3 weeks, but it would be minor. 2. Qt5 port started (again). Hope to have a fully working port till the December ends. It should install side-by-side with Qt4 without problems, actual shared libraries get renamed easily. 3. KDE5 won't hit OpenBSD Ports tree in 5.7, too little number of applications were ported to KF5, even if Qt5 port will be ready. And now the main part goes: 3. The things above were made possible by the support of other OpenBSD developers and especially OpenBSD Foundation. They bought me a new laptop (ThinkPad X240 in case someone wonders) instead of dying one. So now I could run full, clean KDE build in a few hours instead of two days (not mentioning the fact that running builds on laptop is not that wonderful when it's ought to be done over network). That's really fascinating, I'd say. So I want to thank again everyone involved, and in particular I would name the Bob Beck, who actually went through the darkness of PayPal-in-Russia. :) -- Vadim Zhukov

So here's a diff to rename all three manpages. ok? Hi, this is a new port of Fefe's reimplementation of libdjb. This library is a reimplementation of libdjb. It contains several wrappers for socket functions, mkfifo, opendir, wait, an abstraction around errno, Unix signal functions, memory and string handling. Mainly it is a dependency of gatling. gatling is a fast http/file server which will follow soon. If anything is wrong with this port, please tell me. Upstream is informed about the little dependency fix of the makefile. Thanks, Jan libowfat.tar.gz Description: application/tar-gz

Re: Best practice for CUPS-less foomatic use?
I know that many people were very frustrated when upstream broke foomatic-rip for LPD users. Thanks to Antoine Jacoutot many of us will be CUPS free for years to come. I am leaving internet trace for people who would be looking for the info but Antoine documentation /usr/local/share/doc/pkg-readmes/cups-filters-1.0.54p2 is golden standard. In the nut shell what I did: 0. Install foomatic-rip, drivers (in my case hpijs), a2ps, ImageMagick 1. Edit /etc/printcap as lp|HP|HP-PhotoSmart_C5200:\ :lp=/dev/ulpt0:\ :if=/etc/foomatic-rip/script.sh:\ :sh:sd=/var/spool/output:\ :lf=/var/log/lpd-errs: 2. Create /etc/foomatic-rip.script.sh and make it executable #!/bin/sh /usr/local/bin/a2ps -BRq --columns=1 -o - | \ /usr/local/bin/foomatic-rip -P HP-PhotoSmart_C5200 --ppd \ /etc/foomatic-rip/direct/hp-photosmart_c5200_series-hpijs.ppd 3. Add hp-photosmart_c5200_series-hpijs.ppd to /etc/foomatic-rip/direct 4. Adjust permission on ulpt0 and ugen devices. 5. Start lpd daemon and be happy camper. Cheers, Predrag

Is it ready for that yet? Nope, still more work needed, rc scripts, conflicts with existing ports need to be resolved. Wasn't the plan to have samba 4 replace 3.x? It was too slow last time I tried it (g2k14), has this been fixed ? Cheers Giovanni Nope, nothing changed there yet. Ian McWilliam
