IMO this isn't a problem with rust. Just looks like cargo needs to be
updated not to have unused imports? Is this just a behavior change in
the rust toolchain or did our port change to do something different?

Also, working for me on amd64. The diff looks reasonable. FWIW>

devel/gdb: jumbled breakpoints with pthreads

2016-03-04 Thread Vasily Kolobkov
I ran into a problem with ports version of gdb and feeling a tad shaky
would appreciate any hints on resolving it. Fresh current on amd64 and
gdb port.

Considering a simple programm:

 1  #include
 2  #include
 3
 4  void *offshot(void *arg)
 5  {
 6  pthread_exit(0);
 7  }
 8
 9  int main(void)
10  {
11  pthread_t c;
12  pthread_create(&c, 0, offshot, 0);
13  pthread_join(c, 0);
14  return 0;
15  }

When setting breakpoints in the code ran by the spawn thread (e.g.
break 6), gdb seem to have trouble making out thread call stacks and
shows some garbage.
Breaking on the main thread go just fine though.

I'm oblivious of the lengths gdb goes in such cases, but the only hint
i managed to come upon (being for stripped libpthread) seems dubious as
the base version of gdb copes just fine on the same object.

Would appreciate any ideas of clues on addressing this!

over,
V

maildrop upstream prefix is /usr/local, courier-imap upstream prefix is
/usr/lib/courier-imap, what about moving only courier-imap ? This way you do
not have to change postfix/master.cf or smtpd.conf(5).
Slightly tested diff attached.

Oh, I meant just for makedat, oh but...in courier-imap it is
already installed to libexec/makedatprog.

So isn't the problem simply that makeimapaccess(1) is not honouring the
--with-makedatprog setting?

makedatprog != makedat
I could move makedat in a different place but the problem could arise with a
different program in a future version.

Ah - I saw the one in maildrop without an @bin marker and thought it
might be a symlink or something but now I see it's a wrapper script..
What do other OS do? Surely nobody is going to package these under a
different prefix.

NetBSD have an old courier-imap that has no makedat binary, FreeBSD have
disabled makedat/makedatprog in maildrop,
Debian has /usr/lib/courier/makedat, /usr/bin/makedat.courier and
/usr/bin/makedat.maildrop (maybe symlinks, no Debian atm here).
 Cheers

well, a heap overflow with ECC was fixed in 1.10.11 (current release

Hi,
in latest Courier-* versions, makedat(1) is installed by both programs;
atm is @commented in PLIST-main in courier-imap;
makeimapaccess(1) in courier-imap uses makedat to create its database,
for now, as a workaround, you can install maildrop package.
I asked upstream and they reply that we should install maildrop and
courier-imap in different $prefixes.
Other possibilities ? Maybe rename makedat(1) in makedat.maildrop(1) or
something like that ?
