m4 package

i just have a very quick question. is the m4 package that comes with OpenBSD 
5.5, in terms of codebase, completely separate from GNU m4, or is it a port of 
it?

The port in /usr/ports/devel/m4 is GNU m4, the code in /usr/bin/m4 is not
from GNU.
