pear packages
Hi! What is the way of handling pear package upgrades? Is it safe to use pear upgrade-all, or should one stay with ports, and wait for an update there? Daniel -- LEVAI Daniel PGP key ID = 0x4AC0A4B1 Key fingerprint = D037 03B9 C12D D338 4412 2D83 1373 917A 4AC0 A4B1

I'd suggest to stay with packages. For which packages would you need an update, btw? I was just trying to use Fileinfo, which is not in ports, so I had to mess around with pecl (what is completely new for me), and noticed the upgrade parameter. I was just simply wondering... In _most_ cases they're fairly simple to port.
