question on missing binaries after build
Going to try this again, as the original message was blocked by a filter... I noticed when building 3.0.3, there is a srcdir/bin created. This has the following contents: postalias postconf postfix postlock postmappostqueue posttls-finger qmqp-source smtp-sink postcatpostdrop postkick postlog postmulti postsuper qmqp-sink sendmail smtp-source However, when doing "make install" a few of these do not end up being installed: posttls-finger qmqp-sink qmqp-source smtp-sink smtp-source Are these utilities not considered generally worthy of inclusion in a postfix build? These debugging tools are not required parts of the core Postfix package. They are optional. It is not a question of "worthy", rather essential, vs. not essential. Thanks. We received a request to include posttls-finger, so was curious why it wasn't present by default. --Quanah -- Quanah Gibson-Mount Platform Architect Zimbra, Inc.
