Re: Epson Installer ResEdit solution ?
somewhere near the temporal coordinates of 5/31/03 6:59 PM, the entity known as Redicliff transmitted the following from [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I find DLogs in Epson Twain5 Installer Epson Information Center They sounded like likely places for the Installer Window DLogs. However, Opening the DLogs for the Twain Installer reveals three colums rather the top and left coordinates you indicated. The first column is ID with thirty (30) rows each containing a discreet number from 1000 to 1060. The second column is size where all thirty entry = 24. The final column is Name and there are no entries. The Epson Information Center DLogs have only one row ID = 3000, size = 21. If you select one of those rows and double click on it, it will open up to a very easy to follow graphical representation of the dialog window on a graphic of a Mac's screen. You just need to go through and open up each one and see which is the culprit and then move/resize it. - Eric. -- Eric Strobel ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) = END RADIOPHOBIA!!! Re: Duo 2300c RAM
Am I correct in assuming that the PowerBook Duo 2300c uses the same RAM cards as the previous Duos? I don't see anything in the Apple manuals developer notes that suggest different. Since those RAM chips are 32-bit wide (I presume), the 2300c has no L2 cache, on top of that, that would lead to pretty gruesome performance. (I am vaguely considering upgrading a 270c, but am afraid that I will merely have exchanged the best of the '030 PBs (as such things go) for a lousy PPC PBook (as such things go). -- Over, Jutso http://pages.ripco.net/~jutso/ -- PowerBooks is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... It is my understanding that the Duo 2300c used the same RAM cards as the previous Duos, AND the Duo 2300's had some RAM cards that (for some reason?) were not for the lesser Duos... namely the 40mb and 48mb RAM cards. But I ain't ne'er seen't them! Since those RAM chips are 32-bit wide (I presume), the 2300c has no L2 cache, on top of that, that would lead to pretty gruesome performance. I have often been told that the '040 33/66mhz Duo 280c I have was faster than the 2300c, and what clinched it for me (not upgrading) was the reminder that the PPC Duo could not run my bevy of 68k programs. If I were you, I would consider upgrading to a 280c, which should be as easy as swapping the motherboard... I believe the screens are the same.
