A scsi cd rom will work fine. But are you sure you want to install 9? It's pretty slow on the 5300 but it can be installed and does work. Re: OS 9.1 on a 5300?
9.1 ran ok on my 5300. But I like the way 8.6 with ram doubler and speed doubler run. Also it seems that all the junk from M$ slowed down my 5300.
