Hold up; isn't the 3400c's AC adapter a little too strong for the Duo 230?
The Duo 230 requires a 24w adapter. The 3400c's adapter is 45w.
That's a FAQ. The 3400's adapter supplies 48W at 24V. The Duo 230
requires 24W at 24V. As long as the voltage is the same and the
power rating of the supply is higher than the computer's requirement
it's okay.

In other words this is fine.

PB 3400c Duo 230 Question

2004-09-27 Thread Ben
Hello! I have a recently aquired PB 3400c Duo 230. The Duo 230 does not
have an ac adapter. Would the one from the 3400c work? Also, would it be a
stupid thing for me to try to put OSX on the 3400c with Xpostfacto? It has
80 mb ram, and a 4gb hd, and a 200mhz 603e. Thanks ~ Ben ~

It still works fine.
I've used an iBook yo-yo adapter with my Duo for years and years.

They are both 24V. The 3400's adapter supplies 2A while the Duo only
needs 1A. That's fine, the power supply only what the computer can
draw.
