Yep thats the one I used to have, couldn't for the
life of me remember what it was. Normally when I get
pc stuff I use my OSX computer but this particular
website isn't work related so I'm going to use my
3400 to maintain it and it had been years and a couple
system installs since I'd had this problem.

Does anyone remember what that extension is called?

What format is the PC CD?

If it's ISO-9660, then the filenames are 8.3

If it's Joliet (a MS-proprietary enhancement of ISO-9660), then the
names are 64 chars max.

If it's full UDF, then the names are 127 chars max.

Products like Adaptec's UDF Volume Access will permit you to get more
than 8.3 off of the CD *IFF* the CD is UDF or Joliet. But still,
nothing is going to enhance your Mac's file system to beyond it's
normal 31 characters max.

FWIW,
- Dan.
