Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1.Utilize SAP PI/PO software, design solutions perthe required system life cycle methodology and have the ability to complete detailed mapping specifications. Ensure compatibility of outlined solutions with the American Hotel Register Company technology strategy, and infrastructure. Electronic data transfer development and administration is required. 2.Adhere to the standards published by EDIFACT and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI X12) and will focus on the optimal business information throughput, control, auditability and recoverability. 3.Lead and participation in selection of appropriate development tools and software platforms within the context of American Hotel Register Company will be required. Some interface programming will be required based on the project scope. 4.Defines data integration, electronic commerce solutions and application designs to address identified business issues. Prepares formal cost-benefit evaluation and impact statements. Evaluates the life span of recommended software development tools and platforms and their associated vendors in the development of electronic commerce solutions. Ensures compatibility of electronic commerce recommendations with strategic technology plans. 5.Develops detailed mapping specifications per American Hotel Register Company methodology. Communicates specifications to the Information Technology team and as required, develops and tests data integration, electronic commerce software interface programs. Responsible for development of quality assurance scenarios from an Information Technology perspective. Initiates and supports all efforts relating to user acceptance testing. 6.Per service request, assess electronic data integration, commerce issues that come up by analyzing all interfaces to and from customers, vendors/suppliers, and other third parties to determine a solution. Document solutions put in place and any impacts or constraints as a result. 7.Ensures all data integration, electronic commerce procedures are documented and current. Produces documentation for new processes implemented and any gaps as needed. Provides technical insight into business problems to adequately document the electronic commerce needs of IT customers. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/Or Experience Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience is required. At least ten years of data integration, electronic commerce activities and program process analysis experience. Must have at least two years of program development experience. Five years of leadership experience in a team development environment. Technical Skills/Knowledge This is a system technology position that will interact with all levels of Client Company’s business users, SAP functional experts, trading partners including vendor/suppliers, financial institutions and customers. These interfaces may include but are not limited to interviews, documentation per American Hotel Register system lifecycle methodology, and presentation of proposals, training materials, and joint application development. Knowledge of available electronic commerce software tools, platforms, and current trends in the electronic commerce industry. Proficiency in SDLC methodologies and development processes such as requirement gathering, analysis and definition, prototyping, proof of concept, designing and implementation. Strong knowledge of using in SAP 7.4 (Single Stack) in software development lifecycle implementations. Knowledge on Web services (SOAP and REST) in XML and JSON Format.
