Do you think we have the same package?

Archive Database?

2005-06-16 Thread Steve Abrahamson

I've asked this before, and haven't gotten a reply, so I'm trying again.

The 5.2 release notes say:

? For users who have one or more inactive (archive) databases,
 open
them with PowerMail 5.2 and reindex them; you will see that all of your
current and archived mail can be searched in one go using Spotlight,
whether or not the message is contained in your current mail database.

What is an archive database? It it possible to use more than one database
with PM at once? And how do I split my current database so that I can
seperate my archived email?

Dear PowerMail-discuss and PowerMail-testing listmembers,

We are pleased to announce the availability of PowerMail 5.2.1, now
downloadable from:

How, if at all, does this differ from 5.2.1b1 4396 that I'm currently
using? And which, I'm pleased to report, seems to be behaving itself.
If the rumour mongers are correct and we're about to get Tiger 10.4.2
any day now, I'm inclined to wait a bit.

Fixes

   * PowerMail 5.2 could hang for about a minute when accessing the network
 under certain circumstances

Thank you for the update!

5.2.1 fixed my problem not connecting to the mail servers although there
was an active connection. Now works again like older versions did.
