I'm pretty sure that the subject line must be ONE line (other than that
it's considered as spam - so we rejct all mails having more than one line)
Read more informaitons in RFC 2822

Specially chapters 2.2.1 - 2.2.3 and 3.6.5

I had a problem with some old ".sit" archives when I wanted to export
PowerMail folders to my archives. They block before one message
containing attachmets . After removing the attachment all was fine

Shouldn't some characters get automatically stripped out of the subject
line so this doesn't happen? Is there ever a two-or-more-line subject line?

I saw the same mess. But it is still a bug in PM. PM could detect that
the subject has many lines, then show only one line, or merge lines, or
something.

OUCH!

The mutli-paragraphed subject line of this thread was making a hideous
mess of my mail browser -- I actually thought there was a bug in the app
at first, but no, it was just somebody pasting half an email into their
subject line for some reason.

I've fixed the subject line locally, and figured that if I sent this
email to the list then people could reply to *it* rather than to the
earlier ones in the thread -- which were just propogating the problem
further.

PM quits unexpected - IMAP

2004-11-24 Thread Juergen Schindler

Hi,

just yesterday I have upgraded from PM 4 to 5.1 and already today I have
noticed a bug or something similar. And I am able to reproduce it.

I am connected via IMAP to my mail account and try to move a message from
the local intray to a folder on the imap-server. Powermail quits after a
few seconds.

Any ideas?

TIA

Juergen
