I'm pretty sure you can do all of that. There is polling software available on the internet that you can cut and paste the code right into the blog. --- On Sun, 1/18/09, Pete Theisen wrote: > From: Pete Theisen > Subject: Re: [NF] Pete Theisen Election site hosting > To: "ProFox Email List" > Date: Sunday, January 18, 2009, 1:00 AM > Michael Madigan wrote: > > You don't necessarily have to set up a website you > can set up a blog. > > I think it will be much easier to set up and > you'll be on a major > > provider. > > > > Look into blogger.com > > Hi Michael! > > Running as a social conservative but fiscal moderate, I > want to post a > survey on it to determine voter's opinions. Re: [SUSPECTED SPAM] Re: [ADMIN] Not Getting Messages
Ken, I have the MX record on my domain sending all my domain Email to the Gmail system. My system downloads the mail from their server so I have it locally or I can access it via browser. There is no charge for this service. It's been some time since I set it up so I can't easily tell you how I did it but if you are interested - it is pretty straightforward to do. The webmail filter system is limited and what's there may not even work. The filter gives me an option to "keep in inbox" based on various criteria. I have tried using "leafe.com" in the From field; it doesn't work because the From field contains the address of the original sender. There is no option to filter on Reply-to. Profox doesn't have anything distinctive in the Subject line like the other groups do, so I can't use that. I set up one to use "profox@leafe.com in my contacts" (whitelisting), but haven't received any messages since then. I suspect it won't work either, because the messages don't come into the inbox, they go straight to the spam folder, so they can't be "kept" there.
