I haven't had the problems you mention with the debugger (that I realize
anyway), although there are times when I go to compile and it just
hangs. Task Manager has it using 25% CPU but it just sits there in a
"wait...I'm working" icon state. Have to End-Task when that happens.

time they want to? What are they offering, that we don't already

they once again stop listening some time in the future?

I have noticed businesses listening in the past. Too many times,
that is all they do. You are given an opportunity to state your
grievance, and then they have other customers to help. Listening
without action is a waste of time.

So what? Isn't bankruptcy a waste of time? Let's us ask Enron.
Medium or small companies operated by their owners may think this way.
It is the old way, owners being proud of their company and trying to
make it better. But corporate companies? It's just a bunch of directives

right, because the company will fire them at a moment's notice, as soon
as it is convenient. So why wouldn't they also look to their own interests?
I think the whole corporate system is rotten. It cannot and will not
function properly, it is just a way for slippery smart people to make
some fast money. Companies should be directed by their owners, by people
who will be hurt if the company goes down, only then will the system work.
Until that time, all your notions of companies doing the convenient or
proper thing are a waste of time. Because the people running the company
are not the company and don't care about wasting the company's time,
just about their own interests.

So once again. Why would we expect MS to keep on listening long enough
to make it worth our while to migrate back? And what would be the added
benefits to this migration? After all, the people we've migrated to are
also listening so you'll have to do much better than that.

error and found this on Craig's site:
http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/spsblog/2009/08/09/MajorVFPEncryptionUpdate.aspx

'If you are getting a "FLL is Invalid" error when running either of
these FLLs it is because you are missing the runtimes on the system
you are deploying your application on. What about the previous
vfpencryption.fll that used the VC++ 8.0 runtimes? I continue to
update to the latest Visual Studio (10.0 will be next) and I suggest
you do the same. Most VFP developers are using the vfpencryption71.fll
as the C runtime matches the one used for VFP 9.0 (msvcr71.dll) and it
provides the exact same functionality as vfpencryption.fll.'

I just went and downloaded the latest onto the test machinesame
error.

My VFP runtime files are right there in the application's folder,
which is c:\MBSS\FabMate, along with the latest VFPEncryption71.fll.

Ideas?

There are 2 dll's for C++ so make sure you have them both. VFP for some
reason only sends one out.

Looks like MSVCP71.DLL is what I'm missing. The other messages in bold

MBSS FabNet -- VFP9SP2 app using MariaDB backend over web

2014-05-18 Thread mbsoftwaresolutions

Folks,

I've created this app that I'm opening up for public beta testing, if
you'd like to have a go at it. It's an estimating software that's
designed especially for miscellaneous metal fabricators, and is an
evolution of my FabMate product that I created back in 2003.

http://mbsoftwaresolutions.com/downloads/fabnet/FabNet_setup.exe

Right now, it's just access to the lookup table libraries. More to
come. This is using an n-tier approach where the app
UI/bizRules/DataObj are VFP9SP2, and it's hitting a MySQL (MariaDB) test
database backend on the web.

Special thanks to Kurt Wendt for beating this yesterday for me!

Oh...almost forgot. Credentials are PROFOX/12345/PROFOX/Testing
(uid/pwd/client/database)

All feedback welcomed.

Thanks!!
