Hopefully there is a setting somewhere (maybe in Outlook, maybe XP) that
will allow VFP to aromatically send email via Outlook without intervention.

with wwIpStuff.sendMail() from West Wind. It doesn't automate Outlook, but
it is very reliable and works with the customer's email infrastructure. My
application is sending email notifications.

There is a DLL you can use to avoid that "security Feature"

http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/

The security is bypassed if you call the outlook dll's directelly,
instead of the COM interfase, which is what this dll does.

There is an Exchange security group to set up. Documented on the Microsoft
site. The group controls various security settings for group members.

In my situation where I have ZoneAlarm behind a router the program must
receive permission from ZA to be allowed to send the email out. At my option
I could respond no, yes this time, or always allow. You might want to check
for a similar call in your security settings.

Be well!

I'm glad that my system would tell me when it gets hijacked, asking
permission to send SPAM.

Using MS Office Outlook 2003 SP2 under XP Home.

When VFP sends an email by Outlook, the system asks if it is OK to send.

Hopefully there is a setting somewhere (maybe in Outlook, maybe XP) that
will allow VFP to aromatically send email via Outlook without intervention.

Anyone know where that setting is? If so, are you willing to share?

TIA
