Hello Tibor, I'm really interested in ticket http://invenio-software.org/ticket/425, because I hope it can speed up our indexing time, as well as provide a more general way to remove diacritics. As we have a bunch of digitalisation of old material, with OCR provided by different softwares, we have lots of funny combinations of characters.
I'm sorry I don't have the time infrastructure to build and test a patch for it, but given that the test units Invenio provides, it sould not be difficult to test. Can I do anything else? Is it up to you to assign it to somebody else? Do you think it is feasible to get into the 1.0 release? Thanks, Ferran
