Hari Sabat (sabtu) adalah hari Tuhan yangharus dikuduskan. Pada hari itu setiap orang dilarang bekerja, dilarang memasang api di rumah (lampu, kompor, dll) karena Sabat adalah hari perhentian penuh. Orang yang bekerja pada hari Sabtu harus dihukum mati (keluaran 20 :8-11, 31 :15, 35 : 2-3).
