RE: protools 9 le accessibility

2010-12-17 Thread Cameron
Hi. it's just called pro tools nine. Le and m powered have been retired.

It has the same level of accessibility that pro tools 8.04-9.1 had.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the messages of sympathy. I appreciate it. Everything's OK. I only
mentioned it because, normally, I'd never simply remain silent and not
participate unless it was something as important as family matters. OK, we'll
be in touch soon.

Hey guys,

I couldn't make it the first two weeks because of sessions. Today, we had a
wake for my mom. I would've loved to participate. Looking forward to taking
part in future gatherings.

Cheers,

Hi Slau,
you know I am italian, and my English isn't very good; however, I would like
to tell you I am sorry for your mom; in Italy, people usually says "Sentite
condoglianze"; I think the translation is "I condole with you with deepest
sympathy", but I don't know if this sentence is correct; I hope you could
understand what I wanted to tell you...

 Vincenzo.

Re: frustration with C/24

2010-12-17 Thread Vinny Pedulla
Hi Chris,
How are things? We haven't spoken for a while; about this time last year I
think. Feel free to give me a call. I have an HD 3 rig with a Control 24. It
was the previous model before the C 24 so I think they are very similar.
Let's chat when you have some time. Just Email me off list and we can set up
some time to chat over the phone or Skype.

Re: frustration with C/24 / / Isopatch Bantambays

2010-12-17 Thread Chuck Reichel

Hi Chris,
Here is a great resource for the best wire and patch-bays in the USA.
Several of us here on the list have been using Redco for years.
Chris Stubbs
Redco Audio

Stratford, CT 06615
P 800.572.7280
P 203.502.7600
F 203.502.7610
ch...@redco.com

I use 3 of these bays I bring "EVERYTHING" on the back of the Control
24 over to my patch-bays by the way.
The Isopatch Bantambays have a physical separator every 2 channels so
finding a location on the bay is a breeze!
I believe the c-24 has the same basic DB25 connectors as my control-24
the Isopatch Bantambays have the same DB25 conectors.

After you design the layout you want you just plug and play! LOL
Contact me off list for detailed detailes.
Talk soon

Re: pro tools conference and wrapup

2010-12-17 Thread Frank Carmickle
Hi everyone

Slau I'm real sorry to hear about your mom.

We just had a real informal thing again yesterday. Vinny and I got to talk a
bit later later night. He proposed that we try to do it on a weekend some time
so that more folks could join. Like I told Chuck that conference room is
available for you to use. Unless it being abused you are welcome to pop in
there any time. I am up for a weekend thing if the gang wants to do it.

Yesterday we had more discussions of control surfaces. A few of us made book
recommendations for basic study of audio which included Modern Recording
Techniques and The Sound Reinforcement Handbook.

After the call yesterday I was able to work out a bug that I had with
provisioning.djernes.net. It now actually does accept registrations with any
username and password. If you are registering then you just dial 11782 to get
to the conference room.

Hopefully we'll see you all next Thursday at 3:00 PM Eastern.

frustration with C/24

Hi,
I don't remember if I introduced myself on the list before, but my name is
Chris Snyder. I'm working with a ProTools nine HD two system, and I'm using
c/24 control interface. Does anyone have experience with the c24? I'm having

analog ends and the digital begins and vise-versa. I mean, with the old Mackie,
I knew it was analog, and I knew where all my inputs and outputs were. Now it
seems that with these giant DB25 cables, I just don't understand how to route
things.
Any help would be appreciated.
