Yes. I'd like to figure this out as well, as I'd like to include Sound flower
into my setup. I'm getting the same error.

Re: IO Setup Renaming Paths

Hi Slau,

I use Rme Babyface. In Audio midi setup, only things checked for pro
tool aggregate device are sound flower 2ch and babyface. I unchecked all
the built-in ones. Then I selected pro tools aggregate device in the
playback engine.

Thanks for your help.

Using both the aggregate device as well as a standard interface is a little
tricky as it pertains to naming paths. I'm not sure if it's possible to name
the built-in paths first but I think that's what might have to be done. I'll
see if I can figure something out. which interface are you using?

Hi,

I'm trying to use aggregate device on Pro Tools to combine my interface and
soundflower. I set aggregate device as play engine. Then I went to io setup,
and then inputs.
I pressed cmd+a to select all and hit delete. I reset the paths by clicking
default. I repeated that for output and bus as well.
When I click ok, pro tools complains that there are more than one input path
named input 1. How can I rename those conflicting path with VoiceOver? Or, is
there way to rename those inputs outside of Pro Tools, so when I click default,
Pro Tools would grab the names that don't conflict?
Thanks!
