Don't forget that if you are associated with an educational instatution PT 10 is about $299. Sometimes they will even count a church organisation to qualify for the discount. I am possibly going to see if my local Boys club qualifies because they have a small recording studio for the children, but do not have PT and I am trying to be able to help out with their projects. . - Original Message - From: TheOreoMonster monkeypushe...@gmail.com To: ptaccess@googlegroups.com Sent: Thursday, March 21, 2013 3:15 AM Subject: Re: Thinking of jumping on the Pro Tools band wagon! purchase a upgrade to PT 10, transfer the license to your iLok, then install and use PT 10. once installed you may want to trash the aax plug in folder as described in other threads here so you have only the RTAS versions again. David you can automate and it will do the same thing. There is plenty of articles on side chaining compressors out there online if you don't mind googling around, checking out podcast like home recording show, or blogs like home studio corner, or recording revolution. Hi Slau, In PT 9.03 they appear to be working. :) There was one observation though; In the System Usage window there is a section near the bottom of my DSP Card #2 and # 3 , for instance, that just says StaticText unless you click on the buffer bar it then changes to allocated. the problem is you can't see where to click with VO.
