RE: using ctrl-s, ctrl-r

2014-05-05 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi Nick,

you need an ilok 2.

Then you have to make an acount at the ilok website.

At the avid website you can now download the 30-day trial.

You have to enter you ilok-id to get it.

When you go to the ilok website you will find your license there.

The license manager is not accessible with voiceover.

Kind regards, Tom.

Hi, What is the process for signing up and getting started with a pro tools
trial as I have some friends who wish to do this but I was not sure how they
would go about it as I bought my pro tools 10 boxed copy which came with an
ilok with the proper license then upgraded to pro tools 11 and was able to
just transfer the bundle 10 and 11 license with Avid support and things are
still working just fine. Nick Gawronski

Hello,

at this moment i'm trying the 30-day demo of pt 11,1 to decide to change
from sonar 8.5 to pt.

One of the things I learned from the podcast of Kevin Reeves is to quickly
solo, arm tracks from within the tracklist by selecting a track with
vo-spacebar and press ctrl-s etc.

But it doesn't work. I always select or arm the same track.

Is this feature no longer available in pt11 or am I missing something.

Kind regards, Tom.

Re: Advantages of the Digi003 over the BC-F2000?

2014-05-05 Thread Poppa Bear
I believe that the BC is only a Midi controler and does not put out any
audio, have mic/die inputs, head phone outs or anything like that. The 003
is a full control surface with mic and line inputs, outputs, optical outs,
SPDIF, two head phone outs, preamps, DA/AD converters and can be used as a
stand alone mixer for live events.

Hey all, can someone explain to me the advantages of a Digi003 over a
BC/F2000? SOrry if this has been covered already - I saw some messages
pertaining to this interface/control surface on the list, and have found 1
at an awesome price - the same as the bc/f2000. What's the advantage?

Any help greatly appreciated - if it's better, I'll grab it!

small interface to take traveling that works with pro tools 10 and 11

2014-05-05 Thread Nick Gawronski
Hi, I was wondering what is a good small interface I can connect either
using thunderbolt or other connector that has both the XLR and quarter
inch connectors and headphone plugs hopefully two and also provides
phantom power and can record up to 96KHZ and will work with pro tools 10
and 11? I don't need a control surface as I have my divi 003 at home for
the mixing. I would rather have something that ran off of the mac book
pro's power and did not require another power source. What is a good
interface for this purpose basically something I can put into a suitcase
and have ready in seconds once a microphone is put into it? Nick
