Focusrite on Mac

2015-06-27 Thread Shawn Brock
Wondering how any of you feel about focusrite, PT and the Mac? I hear sided
people complain about constantly having to access the mix window for their unit
each time they start a new session. Also people complain about the companies
slowness on updating drivers. In short, people always complain about everything
regardless of how cheap or perfect it is. So having said that, anyone care to
share experience good or bad before I put my money down?

Thanks,
Shawn

Re: Focusrite on Mac

2015-06-27 Thread 'Gary Readfern-Gray' via Pro Tools Accessibility
I'm using a focus rite 2i4 which I've had for a couple of years with
no issues. Now, I'm not using all the extra things you get with it
such as the mix control ap and the focus rite suite of plugins. So,
If, like me, you're wanting to use it for great audio, mic pres are
excellent as are the instrument inputs for recording my guitars and it
has MIDI onboard, all of which works great with tools, then I'd say go
for it.
