Re: activating license

2016-01-23 Thread Vaughn Brown
Thank you Slao,

I actually already downloaded the software and its extras from the
subscription's page. But it is when I launch Protools it says I do not
have any licenses for Protools 12 and to click on this thing. It
brings up the Avid website but I cannot figure out where to purchase
the actual license.

I'll check with Sweetwater and see if I did purchase PT from them when
I was in college. I do not remember.

Kindly,
Vaughn

Hi Vaughn,

Ah, I thought you had already purchased version 12 as you were launching it.
I'd highly recommend buying your upgrade through Sweetwater. You'll get
activation instructions emailed to you but Sweetwater will gladly remote into
your system and help with the initial activation. There's one step in the Avid
process, and I can't remember where along the way, that is not particularly
easy in terms of accessibility. At any rate, Sweetwater can get you set up.
From there, you log into your Avid Master account and go to My Products and
Subscriptions and download the software and extra content.

HTH,
Slau

activating license

2016-01-23 Thread Vaughn Brown
Hello Folks,

Thanks for your help. I was downloading the wrong manager. A friend pointed
this out. I love this new accessible iLk manager.

Here is my next challenge. Apparently I have to purchase a license for the
Protools 12. This is a certain fact. The challenge is that I am unable to click
on the part that says “click here” to purchase a license. I tried interacting
with the text field but that did not work. Then I tried VO+command+F5, then
VO+shift space. That still did not work.
My friend suggested that I get sighted assistance but wanted to see if anyone
here has another idea.

Thank you very much folks. You’ve been wonderful.

Vaughn

Re: unkown in Protools 12

2016-01-23 Thread TheOreoMonster
Once you install the latest iLk manager you have to go through the process to
place the pro tools asset on the iLk connected to your computer from your iLk
account. Once you do that PT should load with no issues.

 Hi vaughn,

Not sure what you're seeing but it sounds like some kind of activation
issue. Are you using the most recent iLok License Manager? Are there any
other plug-ins installed that are not authorized through iLok?
How did that track bounce thing work out, BTW?
