RE: Adjusting gain of selected clip

2016-04-22 Thread Peter Bosher
Hi John André

Many thanks, that's really helpful. A couple of notes in case it helps
anyone. To get that to work, on this system at least, you need to disable the
Mission Control Shortcut keystrokes, even though it looked as though they were
set to shift up and down arrows.

While exploring, I found that you can also change the gain of the selection
with the mouse-wheel while holding down control and shift. That might just
prove useful.

Anyway many thanks again.

Best,

Peter

Hi Peter,

While the clip is selected, press control-shift-up arrow or down arrow to
adjust the gain. The amount of each adjustment is set in the preferences.

Remember, you don’t have to separate the clip first, just make a selection in
the edit window and make your adjustments.

Best,
John André

Re: Autolaunch Avid app manager

2016-04-22 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Martin,

Understood. Two things you might want to consider: If you update the elements
the Applications Manager is alerting you about, the notifications will cease
and, alternatively or even in addition, you can stop the notifications from
coming up from the OS. That said, following the steps to removing those two
startup items will yield the same results in a simpler fashion :)

Yes Slau, there is much more accessibility but when booting the system it takes
to long until the Avid app manager becomes quiet.

Thanks for your help! / Martin
