Aux channel question

2016-05-14 Thread John Gunn
Hello,

I am quite sure it’s user error but I have an aux channel and delay set for the
channel. I route my audio channel to the aux channel but I can’t hear the
original audio track but when I bring up the aux track, I then hear the audio
with the delay.

What I want is to use the original audio track and using the aux track mix wet
and dry being that the delay is on the aux track.

Help and suggestions would be appreciated. Using PT 12.5

John

Wierd automation issue. ]

2016-05-14 Thread mcdiemert .
Hi all,
a weird issue on my portable rig that has not happened in the past and
wondering if anyone has any ideas.
When I launch Pro Tools 11.3.1 and open a session automation by
default is set to suspended. So, I then tic the check box to unsuspend
automation and immediately, without even putting a track in to a mode
of automation, pressing play or even navigating to a marker for that
matter sets everything zeroed out in the session. Both Pan and Volume
go back to centered and zero. I have successfully used this system to
write automation many times before, but it's been a number of months
as I have been using a different system. Hoping, someone has an idea
here as I'm in a crunch with a deadline, and won't be back with my
other system for a few days.
As a side note, I've trashed the pro tools prefs, and I'm certain no
automation is written as this happens in all sessions, and I've had
Rob look for any break points of volume and/or pan automation via team
viewer.
Thanks.
