Re: Assigning custom inputs to stereo tracks in PT

2016-06-30 Thread Ricky Prevatte
To elaborate more you could do panning on the mono tracks and assign them to a
bus. Just set input like you needed the final mix down would never know what
you did.

2016-06-30 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Rocco,

It's a long-standing tradition to pair stereo tracks with respect to odd/even
numbers. This goes back to the analog days when those sorts of things mattered
for multitrack tape machines and bouncing of tracks. This is a vestige of that
practice. What you can do is either split your existing stereo track or create
two mono tracks and assign whichever input you'd like. If you want to make it a
stereo track in the end, just bounce the track to stereo or however you prefer
to get it back to a single track.
Cheers,
Slau

We compose, record and mix down the music in our home. Kathrine sings, and I

We are both blind, and I also have a serious hearing impairment on both ears. I

The single “Your hand in mine” was released this Tuesday. It’s a pop/reggae
song inspired by other genres.

It is currently on Spotify and Amazon, but will appear on iTunes and Apple

But we have also posted it on YouTube, to see what response we might get there.

Assigning custom inputs to stereo tracks in PT

2016-06-30 Thread Rocco Fiorentino
Hi everyone,

I need to assign the inputs of a stereo track to 10 and 11. However, Pro Tools
only wants to assign them to 9 and 10, or 11 and 12. Is there something I’m
missing, or can I only assign stereo tracks to odd/even pairs (1 2, 3 4, etc.)
Thanks,

Rocco
