OK, question.

I know that numpad 8 toggles on/off the count in with the metronome. I
also know that numpad 7 toggles the metronome on/off. What I wonder however is,
where would one go to actually look with Voiceover and see the current state of
those toggles?

I'm not using FloTools on this system. I've not had time to get it
installed, so please address this question from a non FloTools standpoint.

Chris.

XForm Pro VS Pitch N' Time

2017-01-04 Thread Kevin Reeves
Hey folks.
Is the "XForm Rendered Only" algorithm different than the $499 real time XForm
Plugin offered by Avid?
Am I only getting real time control of my TCE and Pitch shifting through this
upgrade, or is there an actual difference in the Isotope Radius algorithm?
There appear to be no real comparisons online, and unfortunately, my ILOK key
broke during the time I had the demo activated. In result, I never got a chance
to experiment with it.
I'm torn between this and Serato Pitch N' Time. Unfortunately, P N T can't be
used within elastic pitch or TCE, so I'd have to do those edits manually via
the Audio Suite window, which sucks, but if it's better quality, it's time well
spent.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin

For those of you who want to unhide the home library you can type the following
command in Terminal and to you Kevin, it won’t hurt at all. smile

chflags nohidden ~/Library

After typing the above command, press enter.

Click Countoff Toggle?

2017-01-04 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
OK, question.

I know that numpad 8 toggles on/off the count in with the metronome. I also
know that numpad 7 toggles the metronome on/off. What I wonder however is,
where would one go to actually look with Voiceover and see the current state of
those toggles?

I'm not using FloTools on this system. I've not had time to get it installed,
so please address this question from a non FloTools standpoint.

Chris.

Re: How in the world do I install this!

2017-01-04 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
Aa. That's kind a what I figured. Are they any good though? I have a few songs
which do have a cowbell sound needed within the purcussion drums portion of the
song, or, if it was you, would you honestly say I'd be better just using one of
the drum kits with Xpand2.

Chris.

  Chris,
The cowbell package is just a free little library for those who wish to try
out the UVI Workstation as a host for plug-ins. It's just included by default
in all user accounts.

Slau,

That worked perfectly. Thank you for your help.

What is this real cowbells download that would be in my downloads area of
their website? I didn't buy anything of the sort, or does that also come with
the 275? Do you know if these to default, and close presets would work with the
Real Cowbells? My guess is no, but I figured I'd ask.

Chris.

  Chris,
Decompress the RAR file using something like The Unarchiver then take the
resulting .ufs file and put it in the following directory:
  User Library/Application Support/UVISoundBanks

OK, I got Ravencroft 275 piano downloaded, and I see the presets in the
Dropbox folder. Once I downloaded what I needed, I got the workstation
installed. That worked perfectly.

Now I'm trying to get the libraries so I can make sure the workstation
is loading them. Question though is, how do I manually install these things.

When I run the Ravencroft installer, it comes up with the license
agreement according to what Apple Accessibility tells me when they remoted in,
but with them verbally guiding me with the mouse, when we clicked accept to
accept the license, it then pops up with the little VILabsAudio installer logo,
but then just sits there, or so it seems.

After you accept the terms, is that when the libraries in the
background are downloaded?

Where can I go to get to the library files? I tried going to the
Ravenscroft installer.app file, VO+shift+spacing on it, then going to view
package content, but even digging into the .app file, I can't find where the
actual libraries themselves are.

Am I gonna need sighted help to do this? I was udner the impression
that though the installer wasn't really accessible, I manually could copy the
files in the Finder over and do it that way.

Did I misunderstand?

Chris.
