Hi Slau!

Talking about that version of Strike2 which is not comming with the expansion
pack, there are no presets in my folder:
Mac OSX ▸ Programme ▸ AIR Music Technology ▸ Strike

The Pro Tools Plug/In file Strike.aax is version 2.0.7.19000.

Path: Mac OSX ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Avid ▸ Audio ▸ Plug-Ins

Could this be a difference between the two versions?

Hi Martin,

Just in case the presets are not up-to-date on PTWS, the tfx presets are
located in the same directory for each instrument as described previously.

There is a way for sighted users to select different drum kits but that's not a
parameter that can be automated so voiceOver doesn't see it. Now that we have
Flo Tools, I'd imagine it might be possible to set some coordinates for
selecting different kits to play the same patterns. That said, AIR's pop-up
menus are notoriously inaccessible so it might be a bit of shooting in the dark
but, who knows, it might be possible yet.

Hi Martin,

Not that I have found yet. However, once you are in a location of a
drum such as ch.1, which is the kick, then you can move up and down
and more often than not, you are moving from ch.1, to ch.2 and so on.
Then moving left and right now moves you through that part of the
columnar list.

Keep exploring, and fill me in on if you come up with some great new
epiphanies. Grin!

Hi Sean!

Thank you.

Could I toggle from one to another drumset at once?
I checkt all 611 parameters and could not find something relating to that.

Re: Strike

2017-01-17 Thread Sean A. Cummins
Martin,

To my knowledge, the version is the same. So preset should be fine.
Most all of the parameters are available, however there’s a massive
number to deal with; you will see that most all of the drums and their
related parameters are in groups label ch.1, ch.2, ch.3 etc. Using
the item chooser, you can narrow down the list you have to work with
on any given drum by typing in the corresponding Ch value of a drum
you want. Their Levels, tuning and on and on.

Do some exploring and learn the names of common values such as the
word room, you will see there is the master level, individual drum
rooms and their respective levels. Learning the visual concept of how
it’s laid out is not as important as realizing that AIR has,
thankfully, labeled an enormous amount of the parameters we can
access.

Strike

2017-01-17 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hi all!

Currently I'm running Strike2 with the presets from ProToolsWithSpeech.
I purchased this plug before getting the info of the AIR expansion pack
upgrade.

Is the Strike version included in the expansion pack absolute the same as
the version I'm running?
Do I still need the presets from ProToolsWithSpeech after installing the
expansion pack?

Is it further possible to e.g. change a drumkit or to get access to the
other pages mentioned in the Strike manual?

Thanks and best! / Martin
