Hi JP,
In HD, instead of write or touch mode, there's a trim mode that adjusts 
everything according to the delta value of the fader (or the difference between 
0 dB and the new fader position). In other words, let's say your actual 
automation had a fader at minus 10 dB. When you get into trim mode and adjust 
the fader to be three decibels lower, the new fader automation would be at 
minus 13 decibels and any subsequent fader moves would be proportionately three 
decibels lower than the original values. That's it in a nutshell.

 is moved in Trim Mode. There might be a way to visually select several 
 volume break points but I know of no way to do that without visually

using Boom / other plug-ins

when inserting , say Boom onto a track , is the plug’s interface opened in 
controls/automatable parameters view?
how can I switch to the native interface in order to select a sound for every 
drum slot?

I have not done any key reset or macros. Just started using ProTools and my 
control surface again. I upgraded to the latest version of flow tools. I was 
missing other keystrokes but after restarting voiceover and the computer they 
came back. I did not make a note of those.

which key changed? Double-tapping Option+Shift+t deselects all tracks and that 
has always been the case. Is it not working for you? Do you have any other

I would say the best thing to do is to simply redo the automation in the 
section you want. Make a selection of the range, turn on pre and post roll and 
set the automation mode to Write. Make a pass and see if you're happy with it. 
If not, set it to write mode again and repeat until you're satisfied.
