Re: Latest Avid downloads for Pro Tools Ultimate

2018-12-19 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Martin,
You don't need to install anything unless it's an updated version. Actually,
the application Manager does a decent job of being more granular about what's
current and not current. Unfortunately, it's super clumsy to navigate. If you
specifically have trouble, you can examine the status in the Application
Manager, make note of what's new and download through the Avid web site
instead. After installation, The Application Manager will update it's own
database to reflect what's been installed.

Re: Flo Tools template

2018-12-19 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Martin,
Although I attempted to answer this question in my other response, I think that
perhaps you were asking something different to what I thought you meant. are
you asking about importing the template data into an older file to be able to
apply the same settings from the Flo Tools template? That would be yes, that
is, if you'd like to have those settings available. You choose Import Session
dAta, navigate to the template and then in the dialog, select window settings.
Once you've imported that data, you can go to the Window menu and choose the
Window settings to force the session file to display according to the template.

Re: Pro Tools dash board question

2018-12-19 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Martin,
The Dashboard will only come up if the checkbox for showing the dashboard in
the Dashboard window is set to bring it up upon startup. I think that after a
new installation, sometimes the checkbox is checked so you might have to
uncheck it if you don't want to see the Dashboard every time. regarding the Flo
Tools template, you don't necessarily have to import anything to it unless you
want to have certain audio files or assets always present in every new session
file you create. In that case, import what you want and save the file as a
session template and name it whatever you want. Then you can set that new
template to be your default template for new sessions.

2018-12-19 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hello Flo Tools users!

When working with the Flo Tools template by default...
Do I have to import older session data into this template when having to
work on an older session?

Thank you! / Martin

Latest Avid downloads for Pro Tools Ultimate

2018-12-19 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hello all!

After moving I started to set up my recording equipment again.

Regarding Pro Tools I realized that the version 2018.12 is out and also Flo
Tools 2018.7.

In addition to Pro Tools 2018.12 I found some new downloads for the AIR
instruments and XPand!2.
The AIR effects bundle seams tob e the same 12.0 one.

Do I have to install these new versions for Pro Tools 2018.12?
I'm also running the "AIR Instrument Expansion Pack 3 COMPLETE UPGRADE".

Thanks a lot for helping out! / Martin

Re: midi event list problem

2018-12-19 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Tom,
I'm not sure precisely which demo you're referring to and varius demos were
made at various times where certain features either were or weren't available
within Pro Tools so I'm not sure exactly how to answer your question. Since you
mentioned Control Command Enter, I take it you're already using Flo Tools and
possibly referring to the Flo Tools demo on MIDI editing. If you can confirm
that, I'll look into it and see what issue you might be running into.

midi event list problem

2018-12-19 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi All,

I just listen to the demo from Slau about using the midi event list.

The option-p, option-a etc works fine. But when I use the control plus arrow
keys I hear the notes but voiceover says nothing at all and when I type
control-command-return

I realize that I'm still in the first column.

What can be the problem?

Tom.
