Re: Hello, is it possible to email recorded tracks? If so whites the process? Thank you very much.

2019-02-01 Thread Steve Martin
Copy the mp3 in finder and paste it into the body of the email you are sending
the person.
It will be sent as an attachment. Alternatively you can right click on the file
in finder with VO+Shift+M and go to the share sub menu and select email. It
will open a blank email with the file already attached for you to add the
address and any other text to.

If looking to share a mix down, is MP3 a viable choice, or do you require

MP3 is usually small enough for email, whereas WAV or AIFF are usually too

Hello Mike, so I did all that, I think I’ve bounced it, but I don’t see where
or how to email it. Thank you for all that, this is great stuff to learn.
Thanks again.

Re: Hello, is it possible to email recorded tracks? If so whites the process? Thank you very much.

2019-02-01 Thread Michael Holmes
You’re quite welcome friend. You’ll definitely dig Dropbox once you give it a
try, it’s pretty straight forward.

Creating an MP3 is also fairly straightforward.

First, make sure that you have the area you wish to bounce selected. If you are
bouncing the whole session, you get the same result by having nothing selected,
which makes this easiest.

Next, press Command plus Option plus B, or find Bounce to in the file menu, and
choose Disc.

Now in this window, use your primary playback output as the bounce source, and
choose the MP3 option in the drop down menu for file type. It will default to
16 bit, and I’d suggest changing the sample rate to 44.1 khz.

Name the file as desired, check to see the bounce directory near the file name
field, and just keep note of that so you can find it to email.

If you are using only software effects and no outboard gear during playback,
click the checkbox Offline to make it faster, and then hit Return.

An MP3 metadata form window will pop up. If you’re bouncing a final mix, this
is handy, but it isn’t necessary to fill out all the details otherwise. The
title defaults to the file name.

The two options always worth checking out are near the top of the MP3 options
window: encoding speed and bit rate. I usually stick with slowest and 320 kbps
constant bit rate, but you can change the rate to create a smaller file.

Once it’s bounced, you’ew all set to email!

I hope I’ve been of further help, and not too wordy. Let me know if you need
anything else!

All the best,
Mike

Komplete Kontrol: not all parameters are mapped

2019-02-01 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi,

I also post this message in de KK list but perhaps someone here can help me:

When I want to edit a preset of a synth (e.g. Ultrta Analog from AAS or Mini
V from Arturia) I can't tweak all parameters. Also choosing different
presets shows different parameters.

I'm using pro tools and when I load these synth not using KK I can change
all I want. But this is a very time consuming task and you can not make a
patch/preset for a KK user using another daw.

Is it possible to map all parameters of a synt in KK and why isn't this
standard?

Tom.
