Re: Accessible Plugins, I need recommendation

2019-06-25 Thread Michael Holmes
I’m glad to help! And yeah, you will definitely find useful plugins in the
bundle. The Pro Dynamics suite alone is worth the price, and that’s just a part
of included plugins. I’d also suggest Nugen Stereo Pack Elements for some cool
stereo imaging, and the Aphex Exciter bundle for some perceived loudness
without the increase in decibels.

For anyone interested in a shootout of some Warm Audio products

2019-06-25 Thread Slau Halatyn
Some of you may be familiar with Warm Audio, makers of numerous preamps and
microphones based on classic designs. Many people have asked me about them and
I've heard good things but never had a chance to try any of them (apart from a
47 Junior which I purchased for a recent project). Anyway, Vinny recently
purchased a Warm Audio WA412 which is based on an API 3124 preamp, a pair of
Warm Audio WA14s, based on an AKG C 414 and a pair of Warm Audio WA84s, based
on the Neumann KM 84. I recently brought an API 3124+, AKG C 414 EB P48 and
Neumann KM 84 to Vinny's place for a little shootout. For anyone interested,
the files can be downloaded at the following link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4uvdyqz0359vq2y/Warm%20Audio%20vs%20API%2C%20AKG%20and%20Neumann.zip?dl=1
For those already in the Drop Box, it's there for you.
It's a Pro Tools session with 2 tracks: a Source A and a Source B. The first 5
clips are a shootout of the preamps. The first 3 clips are a KM 84 on acoustic
guitar, arch top and snare split through both preamps. The third and fourth
clips are an AKG C 414 split through both preamps on vocals.
Clips 5, 6 and 7 are a shootout of the 414 mics on two vocals and electric
guitar through an amp. The last two clips are the 84s on acoustic guitar and
snare.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive shootout, only a decent illustration of
their characteristics for the sake of at least some comparison. At the end of
the week, I'll identify the preamps and mics.

Slau

Hi Slau,

Could you add me to that dropbox please? This address will do fine.

Many thanks,

I just purchased addictive drums to without asking the important question, is
it accessible? Do any of you know if it is and if it's not how do I make it
accessible.

I think it is if you purchase the NKS scripts for Contact and you have one of
the Native Instruments Komplee Kontrol keyboards to use it with.
