Do you have system sounds routed through your Focusrite? The FloTools sounds
are most likely using system sounds routing and not VoiceOver’s.

This works, though I still find the beep annoying, it’s a lot less so.

Not sure why Vo and system sounds were being rooted to two different places,
but I can live with this.

You could also route your systems sounds to the built in speaker while still
routing VoiceOver to your monitors. That way those sounds don’t blast through
your monitors.

Also, not sure if most are aware you can adjust VoiceOver’s Volume independent
of System volume whether they are routed to the same output or not. Its
VO+Command+Shift+Up/down in HighSierra and later and VO+Command+up/Down in
Sierra and earlier.

Woah! You're routing VoiceOver through your main monitors?! No wonder… Most
people route VoiceOver through their computer's system sound whether it's
laptop or iMac, etc.

You could also route your systems sounds to the built in speaker while still
routing VoiceOver to your monitors. That way those sounds don’t blast through
your monitors.

Hi Matt,

Nmm, I'm not sure what you mean and which sound you're referring to. Flo Tools
itself isn't supposed to make any particular sound except for when performing
lengthier tasks like unmuting, unsoloing or deselecting all tracks. Other than
that, there's the level monitor but that doesn't work in the plug-in window as
far as I recall. You If there's a macro that's stuck in some kind of loop
(which I've never seen), you can go to the Keyboard Maestro menu extra and
choose to cancel all macros. LMK if that helps and we can take it further to
figure it out.

Best,

Slau

Re: editing tempo map

2019-10-10 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Tom,

Glad it worked out. You can change all track timebases by Option-clicking on a
timebase selector and selecting the desired timebase. The Option modifier in
Pro Tools sets all other similar controls to the same state. That goes for
things like record enabling, muting, soloing, etc. VoiceOver doesn't support
modified clicks but, if you happen to use Flo Tools, you can press
Option+accent if Flo Mouse is enabled. That'll allow you to use any combination
of modifiers with a mouse click.
Be aware, also, that in the Edit window, if there are a lot of tracks and
depending on their track heights, you might need to press page Up a couple of
times to scroll the list so that the first timebase selector seen in the window
is actually on the visible part of the screen. I'm giving you the Reader's
Digest version of all of this so let me know if you have any difficulty.
Best,
Slau

Best,

Slau

Thanks.

RE: editing tempo map

2019-10-10 Thread Tom Hessels
Hi Slau,

Thank you so much! It worked!

What i did was selecting the whole project, in the event menu went to tempo
operations menu and constant tempo.

typed in my starting tempo. Checked the box preserve after selection (perhaps
nog necessarity).

And it worked.

After that I could make all tempo changes i wanted.

Just one question.

To set the time base to samples: is it possible to do that for all traks at
once?

Tom.

Hi Tom,

The ruler events in Pro Tools are not accessible, however, whatever tempo
events you apply will overwrite any existing events. Thus, you can define
whatever tempos you wish, whether it's starting from the beginning of the song
or any part. Keep in mind that, depending on how complex it is, it's sometimes
better to start from scratch if you happen to know what the tempos need to be.
Also, to keep the MIDI data from moving, set your MIDI track's time base to be
samples rather than ticks. That way, everything stays in place while you're
adjusting tempo.

Hope that helps,

Slau

Hi Folks,

I hope someone can help me with the following problem:

I imported a midi file with a lot of tempo changes.

The conductor track is selected.

Now i want to delete a number of the tempo changes but can’t find how to do
this.

I searched the web but only found methods to do this by using graphical tools.

Is there a way for us to do this using the keyboard.

Tom.
