komplete kontrol question

2020-02-26 Thread Steve Sparrow
Ok well. time to get into konplete control. doing a bit of research. just
wondering about accessibility on the s series over the a series. are they both
accessible. is one better over the other for getting around.

Re: Upgrade to Catalina

2020-02-26 Thread Slau Halatyn
I don't remember which version of Pro Tools you're using. To be sure, only
version 2019.12 is Catalina compatible. If that's the version you're using and
it's not loading, you should definitely call Avid tech support.

Re: Pro Tools Dock Question

2020-02-26 Thread Sean A. Cummins
Hi Toby,

OK, here are a few settings to check.

1. Open the EuCon Control app from your operating system Dock, you can
also use the (Command plus tab) until you hear EuCon Control.
2. Press (Command plus number 1) in the QWERTY keyboard above the
letter (Q). This is the shortcut key and will open the EuCon settings
window.
3. Navigate to the “General Tab” and (VO spacebar) to click and select
the General settings view.
4. Using the Voiceover Item Chooser, (VO plus I), type the first three
letters of the word “Select”. This will bring up a list of
approximately 9 items. You will need to one by one, VO click each of
the following three items related to your issue in order to draw
Voiceover’s focus to the check box location. If they’re not checked,
just VO click each to check the boxes insuring that the PT Dock will
track your selections in the Track List View.

Item #1:
“Select most recently attentioned track” Should be checked.
Item #2:
“Attention most recently selected track Legacy” should be checked.
Item number 3:
“Auto Bank to selected track” should be checked.

Close the settings window with (Command plus W), and then hide the
EuCon Control with (Command plus H).

I hope this helps.

Sean

Sent from my iPhone, so forgive Siri’s mistakes and my brevity.

 Hi,

I have been trying to connect my new Pro Tools Dock to my Mac but seem
to have an issue with EuCon seeing the Dock.

I have done all the steps as required so far in setting things up.
Connected the Dock to my Mac, switched it on with my Mac up and running.
Registered the Dock with Avid. Downloaded and installed EuCon on my
Mac. It is after this stage that I have a problem.

According to the instructions after installing EuCon and having to
restart my Mac to install it, when restarting my Mac with the Dock
connected there should be a lit EuCon icon on the task bar.

No EuCon icon appears on the Task bar and my sighted wife checked this
 for me too.

In Mac preferences there is a tab for EuCon and an empty table of
devices. On Googling around I can’t seem to find any answers or
suggestions on how to either get the EuCon onto the task bar or any
hints and tips on what to do.

I have a USB C to Ethernet adaptor which is connecting my Dock to my Mac
and I can see the adaptor in network connections in preferences.

I have been into Pro Tools and ticked the box for EuCon connections just
 in case.

I have tried powering down my Mac and Dock and restarting but can’t seem
to get them to talk to each other.

I would have called Avid Support here in the UK but they are not open
 over the weekend.

 Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

 Cheers

 Toby
