Controlling plugin latency in PT
Hi all, For a specific plugin the latency compensation feature in PT is not enough as my system currently is set up. I use a 2020 iMac with 128 Gb RAM, so it should not be a CPU or memory issue. But when using the GainRider plugin from TB Pro Audio I get a little too much latency when I use the look-ahead feature/pre delay setting in the plugin, even when the latency compensation under the Option menu is on. In other DAWs the latency caused when using this feature is easily compensated according to the developer, but in Pro Tools the latency is not totally compensated. This is a drawback caused by PT, the developer tells me. Does anyone know of a setting in PT that has an impact on the latency compensation for the system or for each track? I hope there is a way to set the latency compensation manually for each track…. Any suggestions are welcome! ;) Best, John André -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Pro Tools Accessibility" group. Re: catalina upgrade.
Hey Steve, This is Steve Baskis ha ha. Anyway, I wrote Apple accessibility last month because I had a few computers in my home that were on Mojave and I wanted to get to Catalina 10.15.7 without any hassle. Below I pasted in the email from Apple support/accessibility department . I don’t know if the link still works but it should open up in the App Store when you click on it on your Mac computer. Check it out below and make sure you read through everything, but it worked great for me. Hope this helps… Respectfully, Steve Baskis > > Your support Advisor has a follow-up message for you. > Upgrade to macOS Catalina: > > https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-catalina/id1466841314?mt=12 > If you need to reopen this case, click the link below. > > Case: 101236197489 > > We are here to help. catalina upgrade.
Hi guys. I know I should have done this sooner, but i’m thinking about upgrading to catalina over christmas while the studio is on a break. What is the best way of getting catalina now. I assume if I try to upgrade through the apps store it will want me to upgrade to big sir .Witch as we know is not yet supported. S is there a way for me to get catalina now, or should I wait for big sir to become supported.
