Re: on the subject of Sonoma compatibility

Thank you, Slough, very well said! Look at how far we have all come. Especially because of Chi and Slough and others that have done more and gone on before us. Much respect to Slough and the Brickley team. Looking forward to much more good to come. sonicgr...@gmail.comOn Mar 13, 2024, at 8:02 AM, Slau Halatyn wrote:It’s easy to criticize Avid for their Sonoma support timetable. As Production Expert points out in this article, a bunch of other developers have also had issues with compatibility. For what it’s worth, the recent critical issue with VoiceOver and Sonoma has been addressed and we’ll see a fix in the next release, which will likely be released sooner rather than on the usual schedule.Further, I understand that there’s a particular pain that people feel when they’re forced to buy a brand new computer and they can’t roll back the OS and sometimes there’s a gap with support for the very latest OS. It happens. That’s the way the world goes round and one simply has to accept the reality. It sucks when that happens but, the truth is, Macs last years and years and, for the most part, these issues rarely come up. I’ve own many Macs and I’ve never had this issue. That doesn’t mean that tomorrow it won’t happen to me but I am certain that I’d just deal with it. Enough said for now from me.Slau

Hello to everyone on the list. I was just curious to know why Flo Tools does
not open automatically when I open a session? Also, is it best to upgrade to
all of the latest of everything? Pro tools, Flo Tools,Keyboard Maestro, Mohave,

I can still voutch for protools with speech. It might be a bit out of date
sure. Matt and Robb did those tutorials on protools 10. There is a lot
more accessibility these days, with the wonderful flo tools and some new
features, But most of the concepts haven’t changed that much. That is how
I learned protools and i’d say if it’s still available it would still be a
good way to learn protools out of the box. and then deal with flotools as
you go along. You might find the odd short cut has changed, but most of it
is still relevant. I don’t know how I would have done it if it had not
been for protools with speech. I still refer back to this tutorial at
 times

Recording problems

2016-10-09 Thread Kurt Lantz
HelloSlau and everyone on the list, I am new to the list, I think this is
really awesome. I am having some type of recording problem. PT seems to be kind
of temperamental to me. I am a new pro tools user. I have L Cappy Tan, latest
version of ProTools. Not quite sure what's going on. I am able to record a
track, sometimes. I am able to create a track, get levels, but not able to
record on the second or third track. Does anyone have any input. I really
appreciate this group. Thank you all very much, we are all learning together.

Recording difficulties

2016-10-05 Thread Kurt Lantz
Having difficulty recording tracks. Able to record one track. Able to create,
arm, and get levels on the next track. But when I go to hit command to record
nothing happens on the second track created three tracks the other day, was
not able to record on the fourth but I created it. Does anyone else have any
feedback or has this been anyone else's experiences? Thank you.
