Oh, see what you mean now! Damn, why didn't I think of that. When I get some downtime I'll run one of those sessions through the process to find out how smooth it could've been. Re: Getting nicely named files out of PT in one shot
Probably could of been a little clearer. My suggestion was to export out of Pro Tools, in aaf. use the plug in to pull AAF into reaper. Once in reaper in the render dialog select render multi track files option and it using its after than real time bounce bounce out a wav of every track in the project as a single file ready to import into any DAW. Glad you got it sorted though. As they say, there are multiple ways to skin this particular cat. Well, thanks to Kevin Chuck and Mike, happy to report that I got everything exported by the deadline. Kevin nudged me toward an awesome little utility called Rename It which you can get from the App Store. It's great for batch processing the files PT spits out to remove the numbers it appends or perform other tidying up in batches. Some of these songs had ridiculously high track counts, so that turned out to be a huge time saver. Oreo, the guy wanted exports that weren't specific to any DAW. If possible, could you send a copy of that file this way as well? Also Scott, i know you are a Reaper user as well so this may be of some value. There is a plug in for reaper to get it to import AAF files. And as you know Reaper has an export multi track option and faster than real time bounce, to speed up task like these. Hey Chuck, if possible, can I get that audio file so I can archive it away for a reference. As many of us have found out, any audio instruction for PT is rare and hard to find. heavens4r...@gmail.com - Original Message - From: CHUCK REICHEL To: ptaccess@googlegroups.com Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2013 5:45 AM Subject: Re: Getting nicely named files out of PT in one shot Hey Scott, I'll send you a audio clip with the steps to do this off list. :) Chuck CHUCK REICHEL soundpicturerecord...@gmail.com www.SoundPictureRecording.com 954-742-0019 Isaiah 26 : 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Hey Scott to consolidate tracks "command shift 3> will consolidate clips. Also you can go Menu edit Consolidate. Getting nicely named files out of PT in one shot
Hey all, If anyone can nudge me in the right direction quickly, I'd really appreciate it.
