The recommanded is 16 gigs but I would suggest at least 32 gigs of ram.

8GB of ram definitely is gonna be cutting things really really close. It's 
doable, but only if you don't have much routing, plugins, and many tracks going 
at once.

Be prepared to be doing a lot of freezing tracks and things with only that much 
ram. I'd recommend at least bare minimum 16GB ram.
