Re: Side Chaining

No problem. I did this without a control surface, so you should be good to go.

Hey David.
Here. Have a Pro Tools template I made with side chaining active on a stereo
bus.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6464703/Broadcast.ptxt.
You can explore the tracks and see what I did.
Hope this helps.

Hi everyone, I’m trying to do some side chaining, but I’m not having much
 luck.

I’ve added a compressor to a bus, I’ve then chosen the key input option in
that compressor plugin window, and chose a bus. I’m a bit unsure why the bus
can only be a mono bus, but anyway. I then create a send on the track that I
want to affect the compressor and I set it to the bus that the compressor is
on. But nothing is happening. I assume I’m doing something wrong.

 Thanks guys.

Re: Side Chaining

2015-02-13 Thread David Eagle
Brilliant, thanks for that Kevin. I’ve got it working, thanks to the template.
It turns out I didn’t have the key option enabled in the actual compressor
itself. I had it enabled in the plugin, but not in the compressor perimeters.
That will help me a lot, until I eventually work out how to use a control
surface with PT.
