Re: Trying again before I make the plunge, UA Apollo interface

the UA mixer is loaded on the schools computer as you can’t really use an
apollo interface without it being installed. The only software these comes
with are whats required to run the UA software.

Hi, I did write the company about accessibility of this device before as
one of my instructors at school had one but they were using it in Pro
Tools not sure if they even had the special mixing software loaded on
the school computer probably not. I would write the company and ask
them about the usability with voiceover and also find out if there is a
return policy if it is not accessible or if their special software is
even required if you plan to use it with Pro Tools? I find lots of
companies regardless of what you buy like to bundle lots of junk with
their products that is nice to have but is not required. Nick Gawronski

I figured I would try again. Has anyone used or heard of anyone using any of
the UA Apollo gear with voice Over and PT. From what I understand the primary
functions of the built in plug-in and routing functions are in a Universal
Audio proprietary format and I can’t find out any information about
accessibility
to this mix application with VO.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The short version of the story is the plug ins that you load as AAx or VST etc
in the DAW are accessible and all the presets are accessible in the DAW’s
native menu. The UA mer authorizing plug in purchase and or 14 day demos
(which you can reset twice and with each purchase you get another 14 day trial
for everything you don’t own) and the unison stuff isn’t accessible and
requires some eyes/making keyboard meastro scripts for etc. The folks at UA are
decent about TeamViewer to get you set up though.

Trying again before I make the plunge, UA Apollo interface

2015-05-19 Thread Poppa Bear
I figured I would try again. Has anyone used or heard of anyone using any of
the UA Apollo gear with voice Over and PT. From what I understand the
primary functions of the built in plug-in and routing functions are in a
Universal Audio proprietary format and I can't find out any information
about accessibility to this mix application with VO.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
