Re: When you're sent a session and audio are not audible, What do you do?
Hi Steeve! You're absolutely right! It's an IO setting problem. Prior to setting the output in the I/O setting to default, I looked into almost audio files and their output were showing output 1 2 stereo Sanoisa, which indicated the engineer working on it previously used. So I looked from top to bottom to find output 12 stereo, but couldn't find any. But while I was typing up my mail, it occurred to me that I hadn't checked the audio files IO individually after I had changed the output in I/O settings under Set-up to default. As a result, I went back to the system to fiddle with it again and I found the output 1 2 stereo this time around and picked immediately. Once picked and I hit space bar, the audio file became audible. While trying to move to the other, your mail came in, Steev and you verified what I'd just found out. Thanks once again! I deeply grateful for your time, the community's, and support. God bless you and all! Re: When you're sent a session and audio are not audible, What do you do?
Hi. others will more than likely chime in here. But i still think it’s an I O issue. I’ve had sessions like this. What I had to do is change the I O of every track to my regular I O configuration. So as I’m mixing in the box mostly all my track outputs had to be set to output 1,2. It gets tricky if they’ve signed tracks to busses and then busses are set to some other output that they had set up. But if this is the problem, it should be fixable. Short of that, I don’t know. Slau and others probably have more suggestions. Good luck Steve > On 23 Oct 2020, at 1:02 pm, Dammie Onafeko wrote: > > Hi guys: > > A great evening to you all. I've come again. When you're sent a session and audio are not audible, What do you do?
Hi guys: A great evening to you all. I've come again. Today, my colleague with whom I interned sent me a session containing three different audio from a conducted interview. I opened the session, hit play, but I couldn't hear anything. Immediately, I went to Setup and checked my playback. There, I changed the output to my Scarlet. Afterward, I still couldn't hear anything. A friend said to check the I/O and set the output to default, which I did, but to no avail. I've turned the system on and off, and still the situation remains the same. What do I do to hear these audio files and get on working on them? Please help! Your time and effort will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Warm regards, Dammie -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Pro Tools Accessibility" group.
