Re: pro tools 12.3 upgrade, I think it was a cuccess
Hi Brian, The meter is in the channel strip. It'll show up after you've checked the boxes in the Preferences dialog. Zoom will maximize the window. Try not to show inserts f through j and sends f through j. HTH, Slau On Nov 22, 2015, at 8:17 PM, Brian Howerton wrote: > Thanks Slau. Thanks Slau. Where is the meter,, is that on the compressor plug itself, and how do I maximize the screen, and is it always good to have it maximized in pro tools? Hi Brian, In the Metering tab of the Preferences window there are a few checkboxes you'll need to set. They're fairly obvious. Don't show too many items in the Mix window and maximize your screen. You should see the meter working whenever gain reduction is occurring. Slau On Nov 22, 2015, at 4:57 PM, Brian Howerton wrote: > This is great Slau, it did in fact work. This is great Slau, it did in fact work. Now, a random question, I know that you said that the gain reduction meters are now working now. Is there anything I need to set in preferences to be able to read these now with voiceover? Do I need to show the gain reduction meters, and if so, where in prefs is that setting located? Re: pro tools 12.3 upgrade, I think it was a cuccess
Actually, the first volume fader still moves in half a dB increment. It's the second slider that moves in a tenth. That's the indicator that you can Command-click to cycle between volume, peak and sample delay displays. Try interacting with the volume slider on a track. You'll notice that instead of it moving in half a DB increments, it now moves in a 10th a DB increments. This really really confused me at first, as I was like, why isn't the damn level increasing when holding down vo+Up arrow. Finally I looked, and that's when it dawned on me. I don't recall 12.2 doing this, though I could be wrong.
