Re: software updater
I did a quick google, but couldn't find anything concrete. Is PT 10 better suited for Lion users? if so, I may consider buying a cross grade too. One issue that should be addressed is that they suggest to turn off automatic updating in the mac operating system but my thoughts are that they will have to support those newer versions as the way mac is installed now if a user reinstalls they will automatically get the new versions if they like it or not so my point is why not just update ahead of time and get it over with? Re: software updater
Hi, I had no major problems upgrading to pro tools 10.0.1 just used the updating application and it opened the normal browser and I was able to download the file normally. I did not choose to use their download manager but the update installed just fine. I am having a small issue I had before the update and still exists after the update where no matter what tab I go to in preferences pro tools 10 crashes so I am not able to change any preferences anyone know what might be causing this error? I am running lion 10.7.3 which got installed when I had to reinstall my mac because I really messed it up when I was trying to reset things back to their defaults so rather then fight with it I just reinstalled all over again but the crashing existed with earlier versions of lion as well and think the disabling software updates is not a good thing to do because of security and other important updates.
