At the W3C Offline workshop last Saturday there was also a sense from some of the participants that some kind of get together, perhaps in BarCamp style, would be helpful to, at the very least, allow people to share their concerns and get requirements on the table. While we're not chartered to make decisions synchronously, synchronous communication can help to remove misunderstandings. Perhaps in 6 months (twice a year) would be reasonable. Agreed. What little time we did have was quite productive, and getting to know non-Google WG members outside of a work context was extremely helpful for me. Meeting more frequently is something that appeals to me greatly.
