[Pulp-list] Missing distribution files after 2.5 -> 2.8.4 upgrade

2016-06-22 Thread Baird, Josh
Hi,

After upgrading from 2.6.1 to 2.8.4, it would appear that my distribution
images (or at least the symlinks) in my 'kickstart' repos
(kickstart/images/pxeboot/*) for RHEL5/6/7 have gone missing leaving me unable
to provision new machines using these repos.

You will also notice the redirection from the published path to the
'/var/lib/pulp/content' path which I believe indicates the content is missing.

Does it sound like I may hitting this bug [1]? If so, will it be fixed in
2.8.5?

Thanks,

Josh

[Pulp-list] epel-release rolled a new version and installed a new epel.repo

2016-06-22 Thread James Davis
I tested an update on one of my clients and got a brand new /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo config. I didn't expect or plan
for that - my bad.

My options are to add an "exclude = epel-release*" to all my clients pulp.repo/epel config before I manually run updates
or whack all
other rpm config files under /etc/yum.repos.d/ except for pulp.repo an rhel-pulp.repo before an update. Neither is
optimal IMHO.

Is there possibly work going on to either exclude or only include rpm's or groups on a pulp rpm config (or did I miss
something in the docs)?

My single 2.8.4 server config is to simply mirror CentOS 6 and 7 and EPEL for 6 and 7 and provide a local mirror for
much faster updates.

thx

jim

Assuming you meant to link to https://pulp.plan.io/issues/1972: I think so, and
yes.

The 2.8.5 beta is available now if you're able to test it out:
https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/pulp/pulp/beta/2.8/
