[pulseaudio-discuss] Pulseaudio problem with alsa-sink
HI, I am running pulseaudio but somehow its not able to enumerate a sink. Here PA is running as part of emulator , though it runs on the actual system perfectly. when i run paplay paplay Side_Right.wav sndfile: Bad parameter passed to function sf_command. Failed to determine sample specification from file. aplay Side_Right.wav aplay: main:696: audio open error: Device or resource busy pacmd is not working with i run pulseaudio --system mode. when i restart PA i get this error E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Sink pcm_output does not exist. and when i try to connect to this sink Somehow this command give me error saying load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:0,0 mmap=0 sink_name=pcm_output fragment_size=4096 tsched=0 W: [pulseaudio] pid.c: Stale PID file, overwriting. E: [pulseaudio] module.c: Failed to load module module-alsa-sink (argument: device=hw:0,0 mmap=0 sink_name=pcm_output fragment_size=4096 tsched=0): initialization failed. E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Module load failed. E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Failed to initialize daemon. Let me know your thoughts on this. thanks, Gaurav ___ pulseaudio-discuss mailing list pulseaudio-discuss@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-discuss

Re: [pulseaudio-discuss] Cmake for PA
Thanks for the email. Yes in general the idea is using cmake to build PA . Since i saw already cmake files so i was curious to know how to use them ? -Keith On Sun, Mar 17, 2013 at 10:14 AM, Tanu Kaskinen ta...@iki.fi wrote: On Fri, 2013-03-15 at 17:51 -0700, D K wrote: Hi, I see a patch and some files which should help with cmake build . The patch which enables cmake is http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/pulseaudio-commits/2011-October/003692.html The intent seems to be using the original work. BTW i am not sure how to call cmake build. Any pointers would be helpful. What are you trying to do? The patch that you pointed to seems like something that will make it easier to build applications depending on libpulse with CMake. But your original question sounded like you wanted to build PulseAudio itself with CMake? Why would you want to do that? -- Tanu ___ pulseaudio-discuss mailing list pulseaudio-discuss@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-discuss
