At the beginning of every run, puppet device does it's pluginsync as expected. (to {{/opt/puppetlabs/puppet/cache/device/$devicename/lib}}). However, when applying the actual manifest, device suddenly starts using the libdir of the agent ({{/opt/puppetlabs/puppet/cache/lib}}), completely ignoring what it had synced seconds ago.This makes it impossible to use a different puppet-environment than the one of the agent, or to have your individual devices on different environments.Device does respect its {{--libdir}} flag, but that on its turn disables the pluginsync, so that's not a solution in the long run. Tested on both RHEL 7 and Debian Jessie.

Per the man page for hdiutil in macOS 10.15, the IDME flags have been removed. "Removed the deprecated "hdiutil internet-enable" command and the IDME attach flags." The use of the "-noidme" flag with hdiutil on any version of macOS 10.15 causes hdiutil to output a deprecation warning, which then causes the pkgdmg provider to fail to parse the plist xml generated by hdiutil, causing .dmg packages to fail in puppet. Removing the "-noidme" flag from pkgdmg.rb seems to correct the issue. Desired Behavior: .dmg packages get installed correctly by puppet. On 2008r2 the task scheduler cannot find puppet in its PATH. This is only an issue now, because the test had been skipped until this change. I'm not sure why/how the test is passing on 2019. I am guessing that when the puppet MSI is installed, it modifies the system PATH in a way that the schedule service sees the change, but 2008r2 does not. I think the beaker test used to pass on 2008r2 because C:\Program Files\Puppet Labs\puppet\bin was in the VM's system PATH, but they were last due to the way we use puppet to provision them during imaging. I'm thinking the best thing is to explicitly specify the full path for the scheduled task, something like: cmd /c "C:\Program Files\Puppet Labs\Puppet\bin\puppet.bat" /c agent -t Or setting the current working directory for the task to C:\Program Files\Puppet Labs\Puppet\bin. This configuration results in failed build of native Ruby gems, which use mkmf: mkmf generates the following line into the native Ruby gem Makefile: MAKEDIRS = /usr/bin/mkdir -p Following use of such $MAKEDIRS value results in failed installation, e.g. for the msgpack gem: make "DESTDIR=" install make: /usr/bin/mkdir: Command not foundmake: *** [Makefile:200: .sitearchdir.-.msgpack.time] Error 12 make install failed, exit code 2 The behavior can be verified on your system by running /opt/puppetlabs/puppet/bin/gem install --no-document msgpack My ruby experience level is low, however based on the above I recommend to fix the value of CONFIG["MAKEDIRS"] in rbconfig.rb.
